    Brief:  To transform two public spaces in Stamford town centre – Red Lion Square, and the Sheep Market, providing a focal point for the town, highlighting the towns connection with the Queen Eleanor story*, and improving both resident and visitor experiences.

    National Forest Gateway (Stage One)

    Project: National Forest Gateway (Stage One)
    Partners: Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire & the Peak District DMP, Ferrers Arts Centre, Heart of the National Forest Foundation (Conkers), Leicestershire County Council,  Leicestershire Promotions, North West Leicestershire District Council, South Derbyshire District Council, The Forestry Commission, Twycross Zoo, Youth Hostel  Association.
    Brief:  To create a sense of place and establish the National Forest as a key destination, incorporating the various woodlands, attractions, activities and events taking place throughout the year as well as promoting the wider area.

    Project: Naseby Battlefield visitor interpretation
    Partners: Biffa, Government Office for the East Midlands – Growth Areas Fund.
    Brief:  To boost tourism to the Naseby Battlefield, where the decisive fight of the English Civil War took place in 1645, with improvements to existing visitor facilities along with the provision of new facilities.
    Timing: February 2006 – March 2008

    Partners: British Waterways, Heritage Lottery fund, Leicestershire County Council
    Brief:  To improve visitor facilities at Foxton Locks, a masterpiece of 19th century engineering, with a view to it becoming a premier heritage attraction that attracts greater numbers of visitors.
