Leicester Shire Promotions was formed in July 2003 as a private, not-for-profit partnership involving Leicester City Council, Leicestershire County Council, East Midlands Development Agency and the Leicester Shire Economic Partnership.
Tourism contributes an estimated £1.1 billion to the local economy in Leicestershire and attracts over 32 million visitors per year.
